Cricket News: India and Pakistan are set to face off in the highly anticipated 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed hosting the tournament from February 19th to March 9th, with the India-Pakistan match scheduled for March 1st at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet confirmed whether the Indian team will travel to Pakistan due to security concerns. The BCCI is expected to consult with the Indian government before making a final decision.
The PCB has submitted a draft schedule with all of India’s matches being held in Lahore for logistical and security reasons. The tournament will feature 15 matches in total, with seven games in Lahore, three in Karachi, and five in Rawalpindi. The opening match and the final are slated to be held in Lahore.
India has been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B comprises Australia, South Africa, England, and Afghanistan.
